Where can you get a conference table made in Pune?
Short answer: Encore Interiors makes custom conference tables at its unit in Dhanori, Pune. We build rectangular, boat-shape, round and modular meeting tables for 4 to 20 or more people, with cable boxes and wire trays, and deliver and install them across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. The most common mistake with conference tables is buying one that is too big. A ten-seater squeezed into a room meant for six leaves no space to pull a chair back, and the person nearest the door has to stand up every time someone enters. We start from the room, not the headcount. Measure the room, take away the clearance on all sides, and what remains is the table.
Below you will find the shapes we make, a size chart by number of seats, and the details worth deciding before production. See the full range on our office furniture in Pune page.
What size conference table do you need?
Allow about 600 to 750 mm of table edge per person and at least 900 mm between the table and the wall, or 1200 mm on the side where people walk past.
| Seats | Typical table size | Minimum room size | Used for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 | 1200 x 900 mm or 1050 mm round | 3.0 x 2.7 m | Huddle room, quick reviews |
| 6 | 1800 x 1050 mm | 3.6 x 3.0 m | Team meetings, interviews |
| 8 | 2400 x 1200 mm | 4.2 x 3.3 m | Client meetings |
| 10 | 3000 x 1200 mm | 4.8 x 3.3 m | Management reviews |
| 12 to 14 | 3600 to 4200 x 1350 mm | 5.4 to 6.0 x 3.6 m | Boardroom |
| 16 to 20 | 4800 to 6000 x 1500 mm | 6.6 to 7.8 x 3.9 m | Large boardroom, training |
These are planning figures. If your room has a column, a glass wall that opens inward or a screen on the long wall, the right size changes. Our guide to meeting room types and huddle rooms explains how to split one large room into two useful ones.
Which conference table shape works best?
- Rectangular: the most seats for the space and the simplest to build. Works in almost every room.
- Boat shape: wider in the middle and narrower at the ends, so people along the sides can see each other and the screen. A good choice from eight seats upward.
- Round or square: for four to six people in a compact room. Everyone is equal distance from the centre.
- Modular: two or more smaller tables that join into one. Useful when the same room is used for meetings and training.
- D-end or oval: softer corners for narrow rooms where people walk around the ends.
For video calls, a boat or tapered shape keeps more faces in the camera frame than a plain rectangle.

What should be built into the table?
A conference table is also a piece of wiring. Decide these before the top is cut, because changing them later means cutting a finished surface.
- Power and data boxes: pop-up or flip-top boxes with sockets, USB and HDMI. One box for every two to four seats is a practical ratio.
- Cable tray: a concealed tray under the top that carries wires to a single leg or floor box.
- Leg position: panel legs or metal frames set back from the edge, so no one sits against a leg.
- Top thickness and edge: a thicker top or a built-up edge gives a boardroom look without changing the board throughout.
- Finish: matt laminates hide fingerprints and reduce glare on camera. Veneer is an option for director-level rooms.
What decides the price of a conference table?
| Factor | Effect on price |
|---|---|
| Size | Longer tables need more board, more legs and usually a joint in the top. |
| Shape | Boat, oval and round tops involve more cutting and edge work than rectangles. |
| Top material and finish | Veneer and premium laminates cost more than standard laminate. |
| Power boxes | Each pop-up box adds to the cost, depending on the sockets it carries. |
| Understructure | Metal frames cost more than panel legs but allow longer clear spans. |
Tell us the room size, the number of seats and whether you need power on the table. That is enough for a firm quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Can you make a conference table to fit my room exactly?
Yes. We measure the room and make the table to a size that leaves proper clearance on every side. Length, width and shape are all made to order.
How will a large table reach an upper floor?
Large tops are made in sections and joined on site, so they can go through lifts, staircases and doorways. We check the access during the site visit.
Can power sockets and HDMI be fitted in the table?
Yes. We cut and fit pop-up or flip-top boxes with power, USB and HDMI, and run the cables through a concealed tray under the top.
What is the standard height of a conference table?
The standard height is 750 mm, the same as an office desk, so regular office chairs can be used.
Do you also make matching furniture for the meeting room?
Yes. We can make a credenza, a storage unit or a wall panel for the screen in the same finish as the table.
