Who manufactures office workstations in Pune?
Short answer: Encore Interiors manufactures modular office workstations in Dhanori, Pune. We make linear, L-shape, cluster and face-to-face workstations in custom sizes, with screens, cable trays and pedestals, and install them at offices across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. A workstation looks simple: a top, two legs and a screen. The difference between a good one and a poor one shows up after six months. Tops that sag in the middle. Cables hanging under the desk. A row that stops 200 mm short of the wall because the catalogue size did not fit. We avoid these by building every row to the measured length of your floor and deciding the cable route before production starts.
This page covers the workstation types we make, the sizes that work, what goes into each seat and how to plan the number of seats your office can hold. For the full product range, see our main page on office furniture in Pune.
Which types of workstations do we make?
Linear workstations
Straight desks in a row, single-sided against a wall or back to back with a shared screen. The most seats for the floor area, and the easiest to extend when the team grows.
L-shape workstations
A main top with a side return. Suits accounts, design and engineering roles that use two screens or spread out paperwork. Read the L-shape guide.
Cluster workstations
Three, four or six seats around a centre point, often at 120 degrees. Good for project teams and for square halls where long rows waste space. Cluster workstation guide.
Partition-based workstations
Desks hung on or enclosed by higher partition panels. Chosen where people are on calls through the day and need visual and sound separation. BPO workstation guide.
What workstation size should you choose?
Desk width is the single biggest decision. It sets how many people fit in a row and how comfortable they are for eight hours.
| Desk width per seat | Depth | Suits | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 900 to 1050 mm | 600 mm | Call-based and laptop-only work | Tight. Use only where density matters most |
| 1200 mm | 600 mm | Most IT, support and admin teams | The common choice in Pune offices |
| 1350 to 1500 mm | 600 to 750 mm | Dual monitors, design, finance | Room for a pedestal under the top |
| 1200 x 1200 to 1500 x 1500 mm | 600 mm each wing | L-shape seats | Plan along walls and corners |
Desk height is normally 750 mm. Keep at least 900 mm behind each chair and 1050 to 1200 mm for a main aisle. Our guide to standard office furniture dimensions has the full list of clearances.
What is included in each workstation seat?
A quotation is only comparable when you know what each seat contains. Ours spells out these parts.
- Worktop: laminated board with machine-applied edge banding, in the width and depth you choose.
- Understructure: metal legs or panel legs, selected by row length and load.
- Screen: fabric, laminate or glass divider between facing or adjacent seats, at the height you want.
- Wire management: a cable tray under the top, a flip-up or grommet on the top, and a riser to bring power and data up from the floor.
- Storage: a fixed or mobile pedestal with lock, if needed. Shared storage at the end of a row is a cheaper alternative.
- Keyboard tray and CPU holder: optional, mostly skipped for laptop teams.

How many workstations fit in your office?
There is no single number, because columns, cabins, the pantry and the fire exit all take space. As a rough planning figure, open-plan areas with 1200 mm linear desks usually work out to somewhere between 40 and 60 square feet per seat once aisles are included. L-shape seats and wide desks need more.
The reliable way is a drawn layout. We measure the floor, mark the fixed elements and place the rows so that every seat has a power point within reach and no one sits with their back in an aisle. You get the seat count on paper before you commit to anything.

What changes the per-seat cost of a workstation?
| Factor | Effect on cost |
|---|---|
| Desk width and depth | A 1500 mm seat uses about a quarter more top than a 1200 mm seat. |
| Layout type | Back-to-back rows share legs and screens, so they cost less per seat than single rows or clusters. |
| Screen material and height | Glass and full-height fabric panels cost more than low laminate screens. |
| Storage | A pedestal at every seat adds noticeably. Shared storage brings it down. |
| Quantity | Larger orders usually reduce the per-seat rate. |

Frequently asked questions
Do you make workstations in custom sizes?
Yes. Each row is made to the measured length of your floor. Desk width, depth and screen height can all be set to your requirement.
What is the minimum order for workstations?
There is no fixed minimum. We take up small offices of a few seats as well as full floors. Call us with your seat count and we will tell you what is practical.
Can I add more seats later that match the first batch?
Yes. Because we manufacture the workstations ourselves, later additions can be made in the same size, laminate and screen design.
Which is better, linear or cluster workstations?
Linear rows give the most seats and are easy to extend. Clusters suit teams that work together and halls that are square or irregular. Many offices use both.
Do you install workstations across Pune?
Yes. We deliver and install across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, including Kharadi, Viman Nagar, Hadapsar, Baner, Hinjewadi and Wakad.
